Caulfield Tip Sheet & Staking Plan: Saturday 2nd January

The first Saturday Metropolitan meeting of the year kicks off at Caulfield today where punters can expect a competitive 9 race program.

The track is currently rated a good 4. Victorians are set to expect a cool day with a top temperature of 24 degrees. With showers predicted we could see the track move into the Soft range.

The rail is out 3m for this meeting. Hard to see there being any obvious track bias with weather and track conditions lining up perfectly for racing. Many races should be pace dependent. As always, watch and assess.
