The PGA Tour is heading to Europe for the next two weeks. First off is the 2026 Scottish Open this weekend near Edinburgh. Then next week is the 154th British Open at Royal Birkdale. Here are the three golfers we like the most this week.
Scottie Scheffler
It was a mistake not to pick Scottie Scheffler two weeks ago at the Travelers. He once again was extremely competitive, and lost in a playoff on Monday to Norway’s Viktor Hovland. The bottom line is that Scheffler is in the mix every single week, and you would be an absolute fool not to select him. Do not be too concerned that Scheffler has not won the Scottish Open in the past. His last two results were third and eighth, and he won the 2025 British Open.
Chris Gotterup
Gotterup has the distinction of being the Scottish Open defending champion and the latest winner on the PGA Tour (winner of the John Deere Classic last week). Gotterup is also a three-time winner on the PGA Tour this year, and the only golfer to win on the PGA Tour three times in an individual stroke-play competition in 2026. The winner of Easton, Maryland is now ranked seventh in the world.
Tyrrell Hatton
The native of High Wycombe, England is an eight-time winner on the European Tour, and won a LIV event in Spain earlier this year. One reason why Hatton needs to be considered as a contender is because he is an effective wedge player, something that is very important on links golf courses.
