In the 14th of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Indianapolis Colts.
Key Off Season Acquisitions
The Colts added three key acquisitions on defense in the offseason, They were defensive ends Micheal Clemons of Garland, Texas and Arden Key of Atlanta, Georgia and defensive tackle Colby Wooden of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Clemons signed a three-year contract worth $17.5 million on March 12. He played the last four seasons with the New York Jets. In 2025, Clemons had 22 combined tackles (nine solo tackles and 13 assisted tackles), three tackles for a loss, five quarterback hits, two pass deflections and one sack. The sack came in a 27-24 Jets win over the Atlanta Falcons on November 30.
Key signed a two-year contract worth $20 million on March 12. He played there seasons with the Raiders organization from 2018 to 2020, one season with the San Francisco 49ers in 2021, one season with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2022, and the last three seasons with the Tennessee Titans. In 2026 with Tennessee, Key had 22 combined tackles (nine solo tackles and 13 assisted tackles), six tackles for a loss, 11 quarterback hits, and four sacks.
Wooden was traded from the Green Bay Packers to the Indianapolis Colts for linebacker Zaire Franklin on March 7. Wooden has played the last three seasons with the Packers. In 2025, he had 50 combined tackles (26 solo tackles and 24 assisted tackles), six quarterback hits, three quarterback hits and one pass deflection. The pass deflection came in a 31-24 Packers win over the Detroit Lions on November 27.
Fantasy Stars
Tyler Warren of Mechanicsville, Virginia had a fantastic rookie season for the Colts. He finished third among NFL tight ends. Warren was selected to the Pro Bowl, and had 76 catches for 817 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Running back Jonathan Taylor of Salem, New Jersey is fourth among running backs. He led the NFL this past season with 18 rushing touchdowns. Taylor also had 1585 rushing yards, along with 46 catches for 378 receiving yards and two touchdown catches. The first touchdown catch was for seven yards and came in a 29-28 Colts win over the Denver Broncos on September 14, and the second touchdown catch was for 19 yards and came in a 38-14 Colts win over the Tennessee Titans on October 26.
Projected Finish
The Colts were ice cold in the second half of the 2026 NFL season. After winning eight of their first 10 games, they lost seven straight games and easily missed the postseason. Expect the Colts struggles to continue. In the first five games of 2026 they play Baltimore, Kansas City, Houston, Washington and Pittsburgh. They could easily be 0-5 out of the gate. Expect the Colts to be third in the AFC South.
