The replays and sectional times have been analysed from Wednesday’s Kensington meeting. Our analyst has black booked a runner up from the Waller yard that looks ready to break her maiden and an impressive winner from the Baker yard.Â
Let’s Go Barbie
The Waller mare settled in an awkward position last on the rail after being tardy away. She made great ground without being asked to do much along the inside before being strung up awkwardly for most of the straight. When she finally saw clear running at the 200m she made terrific ground along the inside to only just miss on the line finishing 0.1L 2nd. With an extra 50m she would’ve been a clear winner. She will need to improve her barrier manners but I will be happy to take the risk with her stepping up in trip next start.Â

The Baker mare justified her quote being the most impressive winner on the day. She added another string to her bow rolling forward and settling 2nd on a soft tempo. When the pressure was on up the straight she really showed her class charging away for a 4L victory. Her final 100m was her most impressive sectional so she will be easy to follow getting back to Saturday company whether it be over the Randwick mile or stepping up to 1800-2000m.Â
