Best Of The Best: Our Wednesday Specials – Kensington 16/2

This week we head to Kensington where I have picked out a big chestnut colt from the Newnham yard that is sure to be producing big closing sectionals.

Kensington Race 2 – Money From the Sky

  • Trainer: M Newnham
  • Jockey: T Sherry
  • Barrier: 1

Money From the Sky is a big, flashy 3yo colt from the Mark Newnham yard that I think will run well. I love the fact that Newnham has given the Frankel colt 3 1000m trials to prepare for this 1400m 1st up assignment. In all 3 he has settled at the rear and flashed home more impressively each time. In his debut preparation he ran similarly to his trials where he produced 2 2nds from 3 starts.

The 1 gate is a huge bonus on this Kensington track and this will give Sherry the opportunity to settle a little closer than if he had of drawn a wider gate, where I would’ve been happy to watch as I do believe this horse is going to be at his best when he gets out to 2000m.
