Ā Randwick Race 4 – Sky Command
Sky Command has a few things in favour here as he steps back up to Saturday grade on the back of an impressive win in a strong race at Canterbury. The Portelli filly has the gate speed to potentially hold out the speedy Malkovich or could potentially sit a length off. The current soft 5 and more predicted rain in the morning will definitely play into her favour and with 52kg on her back should be there in the finish.
Tip: 2 Units Win Sky Command @$6.5 With TopSport
Randwick Race 8 – Paulele
Paulele announced himself as one of the countries top 3yo sprinters in the spring with wins in the Rosebud and Roman Consul and is the deserved favourite for the G3 Eskimo Prince Stakes. The Cummings yard will have him wound up for this and if he can get the job done, he will no doubt be aimed at stronger sprint races in the autumn.
Tip: 2 Units Win Paulele @$2.3 withTopSport
Randwick Race 9 – Maotai
I was extremely impressed with the return trial of Maotai where he showed a heap of speed to lead all the way eased down by 2L at Rosehill. Last prep he had form around Paulele, Home Affairs and In the Congo without threatening. This is much easier and it would be very disappointing if he couldn’t figure here.
Tip: 2 Units Win Maotai @$4.5 with TopSport
