Storm Commander

Emerging from a really solid 2yo prep, I’m going to take on Pike’s hotpot here with Storm Commander. Ran some really solid races as a 2yo (now 3yo) including a super 3 wide no cover win 2 starts back before a failure on a heavy track and tipped out. The lead in trial for this without the blinkers on (races in them) was a super piece of work hitting the line strongly under no riding. Maps to find a lovely smother in behind the speed from 4 for Chris Parnham and am more than happy to oppose the fav (who I admit, could be a star but is a big unknown, at $1.55) and have something on here.

Cross Statement

Really open race, an epic race to finish the day. I’ve got plenty of time for Cross Statement who has got what I would call perfect use of the claim here for best front-running apprentice in the state Holly Watson. This horse has put up some huge figures so far in his career, including fresh last prep to break his maiden. Holly should take him straight to the top here, and prove the testing material to run down. Happy to have a small play at any price over $4.00 quote.
