Alex de Minaur announces engagement to Katie Boulter

According to BBC Sport on Monday, Australian tennis star Alex de Minaur of Sydney has announced his engagement to the top women’s tennis player in Great Britain, Katie Boulter of Leicester. De Minaur is currently ranked ninth in the world in men’s tennis, and Boulter is ranked 24th.
De Minaur and Boulter are not the only tennis superstars who are romantically linked. Gael Monfils of Paris, France is married to Elina Svitolina of Ukraine. Monfils reached the semifinals of the French Open in 2008 and the United States Open in 2016. Svitolina reached the semifinals of the United States Open in 2019, and Wimbledon in 2019 and 2023. Meanwhile, 2021 French Open finalist and 2023 Australian Open finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece is in a relationship with world number 12 Paula Badosa of Spain, and world number one Jannik Sinner of Italy is in a relationship with world number 14 Anna Kalinskaya of Russia.
In 2024, de Minaur had a singles record of 47 wins and 21 losses. He defended his title at the Mexican Open by beating Casper Ruud of Norway 6-4, 6-4 in February, and then beat Sebastien Korda of the United States 6-2, 6-4, in the final of the Rosmalen Grass Court Tennis Championship in June leading up to Wimbledon.
Boulter posted a record of 37 wins and 22 losses, and also has won two WTA events in 2024. She defeated Martya Kostyuk of Ukraine 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 in the final of the San Diego Open in March, and then Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the final of the Nottingham Open in June. It was the second straight year Boulter won the Nottingham Open, as she won her first career WTA event there in 2023. In the final, Boulter beat fellow Brit Jodie Burrage in the final, 6-3, 6-3.
