A Class Above: Which Horse Caught Our Eye This Week?

Our new segment where we highlight a horse we think will progress through the grades and perhaps be competitive in stakes company which will help your futures betting.

Harmonium 2YO Filly (I Am Invincible x Snipperty Day)

  • Trainer – Richard & Michael Freedman
  • Gosford Race 6 – 1000m

A super impressive debut by this daughter of I Am Invincible showing a brilliant display of sustained speed from start to finish, jumped quickly from barrier 8 and was able to cross the field with ease and then had to sustain some mid-race pressure before showing a nice turn of foot at the top of the straight.

She recorded the quickest final 200m at the meeting and a slick final 600m in 34.01 under the soft conditions before pulling away from them on the line indicating she will appreciate further. Was only given the one over 801m leading into the debut so there will be further improvement to come.

We’re predicting she will now go to a 1200m midweek or Saturday grade race and progress through her grades nicely. We also noticed she has been nominated for races such as the Percy Sykes, Inglis Sires & Golden Slipper which indicates the stable has a big opinion of the filly.

Harmonium is a $101 chance in the Golden Slipper & a $51 chance in the Inglis Sires.
