In the 26th of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Philadelphia Eagles.
Key Off Season Acquisitions
There are five new notable Philadelphia Eagles this season. They are wide receivers Marquise Brown of Hollywood, Florida and Dontayvion Wicks of Plaquemine, Louisiana, quarterback Andy Dalton of Katy, Texas, linebacker Jonathan Greenard of Hiram, Georgia, and cornerback Tariq Woolen of Fort Worth, Texas.
Marquise Brown, also known as “Hollywood” signed a one-year contract worth $6.5 million on March 17. He is joining his third NFL team after three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens (2019 to 2021), two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals (2002 and 2023) and two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs (2024 and 2025).
Wicks was traded to the Eagles from the Green Bay Packers on April 11 for a fifth round pick in 2026 and a sixth round pick in 2027. He is joining his second NFL franchise. Wicks played the last three seasons with the Green Bay Packers. In 2025, Wicks had 30 catches for 332 receiving yards and two touchdown catches. Both major scores came on American Thanksgiving. Wicks caught touchdown passes for 22 yards and one yard from quarterback Jordan Love as the Packers defeated the Detroit Lions 31-24.
Dalton was traded from the Carolina Panthers to the Eagles on March 18 for a seventh round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. The Eagles are the sixth NFL team Dalton has played for. He previously played nine seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals from 2011 to 2019, one season with the Dallas Cowboys in 2020, one season with the Chicago Bears in 2021, one season with the New Orleans Saints in 2022, and three seasons with the Carolina Panthers from 2023 to 2025. This past season in Carolina, Dalton completed 25 of 37 passes for 293 passing yards, with one touchdown and one interception. The three-time Pro Bowler (2011, 2014 and 2016 with Cincinnati) will back up Jalen Hurts this season at quarterback.
Greenard was traded from the Minnesota Vikings to the Eagles with a seventh round pick in 2026 for third round picks in 2026 and 2027 on Apriil 24. He is joining his third NFL team after four seasons with the Houston Texans from 2020 to 2023, and the last two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings from 2024 to 2025, where he was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2024. This past season, Greenard had 38 combined tackles (19 solo tackles and 19 assisted tackles), 10 tackles for a loss, 12 quarterback hits, three pass deflections, three sacks and one forced fumble.
The Philadelphia Eagles signed cornerback Riq Woolen of Fort Worth, Texas to a one year deal worth $15 million on March 12. He spent the last four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. Woolen was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2022 and won a Super Bowl in 2026. This past season, Woolen had 41 combined tackles (33 solo tackles and eight assisted tackles), one quarterback hit, one tackle for a loss, one interception for 30 yards, 12 pass deflections.
The interception came in a 26-0 Seahawks shutout win over the Minnesota Vikings on November 30. The quarterback hit came in a 37-9 Seahawks win over the Atlanta Falcons on December 7. The pass deflection came in a 13-3 Seahawks win over the San Francisco 49ers on January 3.
Fantasy Stars
Jalen Hurts of Houston, Texas is ranked sixth among quarterbacks. In 2025, he completed 294 passes in 454 attempts for 3224 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and six interceptions. Hurts also had 105 rushes for 421 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.
Saquon Barkley of Bronx, New York is ranked sixth among running backs. In 2025, he had 280 rushes for 1140 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns. Barkley had 37 catches for 273 receiving yards and two touchdown catches.
The Eagles defense is ranked fifth in the NFL. In 2025, they gave up 325 points, the second fewest points in the NFC. Outside linebacker Zack Baun of West Bend, Wisconsin led the Eagles last season with 123 combined tackles.
Projected Finish
The Eagles are the heavy favourite to win the NFC East. They are the most likely team to win their division in the NFL.
