Packers trade wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks to the Eagles

The Green Bay Packers have traded wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks of Plaquemine, Louisiana to the Philadelphia Eagles according to Zach Gephart of The Lead on Wednesday. Wicks was traded to the Eagles for a fifth round pick in the 2026 National Football League draft and a sixth round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

Wicks is joining his second NFL franchise. He played the last three seasons with the Green Bay Packers. In 46 games, Wicks has 108 catches for 1328 receiving yards and 11 touchdown catches.

In 2025, Wicks had 30 catches for 332 receiving yards and two touchdown catches. Both major scores came on American Thanksgiving. Wicks caught touchdown passes for 22 yards and one yard from quarterback Jordan Love as the Packers defeated the Detroit Lions 31-24.

This was the third time in Wicks’s NFL career that he caught two touchdown passes in a game. He also accomplished the feat in a 17-9 Packers win over the Chicago Bears on January 7, 2024, and in a 31-29 Packers loss to the Minnesota Vikings on September 29, 2024.

Wicks is set to make $3.7 million this season. He is the second wide receiver to be traded since St. Patrick’s Day. On March 17, the Miami Dolphins traded Jaylen Waddle of Houston, Texas to the Denver Broncos with the Dolphins’s fourth round pick (111th overall) in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Dolphins are receiving the first round pick (30th overall), third round pick (94th overall) and fourth round pick (130th overall) in the 2026 NFL Draft.

In Philadelphia, Wicks is one of several high profile wide receivers. He joins A.J. Brown of Starkville, Mississippi, Devonta Smith of Amite City, Louisiana, Hollywood Brown of Hollywood, Florida, and Elijah Moore of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
