In the fourth of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Buffalo Bills.
Key Off-Season Acquisitions
There are three notable new Bills in 2026. They are wide receiver D.J. Moore of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, defensive end Bradley Chubb of Marietta, Georgia, and cornerback Dee Alford of Hernando, Mississippi.
Moore was traded from the Bears to the Bills with a fifth round pick in 2026 for a second round pick in 2026 on March 5. He is joining his third NFL franchise. Moore has played five seasons with the Carolina Panthers from 2018 to 2022, and the last three seasons with the Bears. This past season he had 50 catches for 682 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Moore also had 15 rushes for 79 rushing yards and another major score. The rushing touchdown was for 17 yards in a wild 47-42 Bears win over the Cincinnati Bengals on November 2. In the same game, Moore had a two-yard touchdown pass to star quarterback Caleb Williams in another remarkable play. This was Moore’s first career touchdown pass.
Chubb signed a three-year contract worth $43.5 million on March 11. He is joining his third NFL franchise after five seasons with the Denver Broncos and three seasons with the Miami Dolphins. Last season in Miami, Chubb had 47 combined tackles (24 solo tackles and 23 assisted tackles), 20 quarterback hits, eight tackles for a loss, 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery for two yards.
Alford signed a three-year contract worth $15.75 million on March 9. He is joining his second NFL franchise after playing the last four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. In 2025, Alford had 67 combined tackles (55 solo tackles and 12 assisted tackles), six tackles for a loss, three quarterback hits, three interceptions for 59 yards, 13 pass deflections, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery for two yards and two sacks. The forced fumble came in a 34-27 Falcons win over the Washington Commanders on September 28 and the fumble recovery came in a 24-10 Falcons win over the New Orleans Saints on November 23.
The Bills also made headlines with their decision to make a coaching change. They said goodbye to Sean McDermott, despite the fact he had 98 regular season wins in Buffalo since 2017 and had an impressive winning percentage of .662. The Bills new head coach is Joe Brady of Pembroke Pines, Florida, who had been the Bills offensive coordinator.
Fantasy Star
The face of the franchise over the last few seasons has been quarterback and former MVP Josh Allen of Firebaugh, California, and this year is no different. Allen is ranked second among NFL quarterbacks, only behind Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles. This past season, Allen completed 319 passes of 460 passes for 3668 passing yards, along with 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He also had 112 rushes for 579 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns.
Projected Finish
The fact that the Bills did not win the AFC East last season and saw the New England Patriots represent the AFC in the Super Bowl stung the Bills fanbase big time. As a result, a coaching change was made. It appears to be Super Bowl or bust for the Bills this year. Can they get by the Patriots or was last season a one off? I think it is the former. Pick the Bills to win the AFC East, but this team may have their hands full against the Broncos or Ravens in their quest for a Super Bowl berth.
