2024 NFL Week 5 Preview: Our Expert Tips & Staking Plan

Yet another week in profit! Four from four and we are now up 18.22 units on the NFL season. After a perfect September, lets hope October is just as profitable. This is not a week I love so far, but I have a few picks that I am feeling good on. So we will keep the bets to a minimum for this week.

I will likely be adding some more picks before the games so make sure to check back.

Carolina Panthers @ Chicago Bears

Even with Andy Dalton the Panthers are the worst team in the league and I will continue to bet against them until the lines catch up again. The Bears are getting healthier with each week that goes by and I think we will see the offence in particular step up another level.

Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Ravens come into this on the back of a huge win over the Bengals. It was by far their best game of the season, but I think the score slightly flatters the actual performance. Everyone is down on the Bengals after their start but this is a must win for them and I think we see them raise their level to what so many of us expected coming into the season. Betting home underdogs in these spots is a favourite of mine. The public opinion on the Ravens will struggle to be higher. It is a great time to back against them.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Denver Broncos

I do not believe that either of these teams are good, but the Denver Broncos are broken. The offence just does not work. And with Maxx Crosby expected back, it could be a long day for Bo Nix and co. The Raiders defence was phenomenal over the first few weeks and they can be great here and be the difference in a low scoring game.

Cleveland Browns @ Washington Commanders

In a spot similar to the Ravens, the opinion of the Commanders may be at its peak. It is a good time to back against them against a team that has continued to improve through the season. Deshaun Watson played his best game as a Cleveland player last week and combined with a defence that is only going to get better, I believe they can cause Washington a lot of problems all day long here.

New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins

The lines are not currently available for this one. I will be checking back throughout the day to try and add some plays here, but my main play here is backing against Jacoby Brissett. I want to take the unders on passing yards, touchdowns and almost anything I can as I believe this is the week he is finally benched. The Patriots offence has been woeful and while there are issues all over, he is a big part of it. Receivers are getting open but he can’t find them. It is time for Drake Maye there.

So there are no official picks for now on this one, but if your bookmaker offers the odds now, I would go with them. I will look to add them later but it will be the plays above.
