2024 Denver Broncos Projected Finish, Key Signings and Fantasy Stars

In the 10th of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Denver Broncos.

Key Off Season Acquisitions

The Denver Broncos had three key acquisitions in the offseason. Two moves came via trade and one via free agency.

The Broncos free agent signing was safety Brandon Jones of Nacogdoches, Texas. He signed a three-year deal worth $20 million. Over the last four seasons, Jones was with the Miami Dolphins. In 2023, he had 48 combined tackles (36 solo tackles and 12 assisted tackles), two tackles for a loss, two interceptions for 40 yards, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and four pass deflections. The two interceptions came in a 30-0 Dolphins win over the New York Jets on December 17, and the fumble recovery came in a 22-20 Dolphins win over the Dallas Cowboys on December 24.

The Broncos also made a quarterback change. Gone is Russell Wilson, who went to Pittsburgh, and in is Zach Wilson, who Denver acquired from the New York Jets. This past season in New York, Wilson completed 221 passes in 368 attempts for 2271 passing yards, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He also had 36 rushes for 211 rushing yards. However, with Aaron Rodgers set to start this season in New York, Zach Wilson would have been on the bench if he stayed at the Big Apple.

The Broncos also acquired defensive end John Franklin-Myers of Los Angeles, California from the Jets for a sixth round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. This past season, Franklin-Myers played 17 games for New York. He had 33 combined tackles (15 solo tackles and 18 assisted tackles), six tackles for a loss, 14 quarterback hits, 3.5 sacks, and three pass deflections. The Jets are Franklin-Myers’s third NFL franchise following one season with the Los Angeles Rams (2018) and four seasons with the Jets (2020 to 2023).

Fantasy Stars

The Broncos have no players in fantasy ranked in the top 10 at their position.

Projected Finish

Denver will finish last in the AFC West. The Chiefs and Chargers have a lot more talent. The Raiders have marginally more talent.
