2023 NFL Week 2 Preview: Our Expert Tips & Staking Plan
September 17, 2023
A really solid start to the NFL season. +2.44 units is a great place to build from. Lets continue that with all of week two’s action.
I will likely be adding some more picks before the games so make sure to check back.
Chicago Bears @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
We see it every year where there are big overreactions to week one. I feel like this is one of them. The Bucs are maybe a better team than some thought, but they are still one of the worst in the league. They got the win in week one but things can come crashing back down here.
The Bears have the opposite. They played their big rival and these things happen in those games. They are a much better team than they showed in week one.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Jacksonville Jaguars
The Chiefs lost in week one but it was the way they lost that is troubling. Travis Kelce looks like he will be back, but the pass catchers really left a lot to be desired without him. He is unlikely to be at 100% so it is unlikely he will be able to drag them along like he so often has.
The Jaguars are just a really good team, and being underdogs at home is something I will always think will be a good opportunity.
USA USER BETS
- 2 units ($200) Jaguars +3 @ Ev with BetUS
- 1 unit ($100) Jaguars moneyline @ +155 with BetUS
AUS USER BETS
- 2 units ($200) Jaguars +3.5 @ 1.82 with TopSport
- 1 unit ($100) Jaguars moneyline @ 2.41 with TopSport
San Francisco 49ers @ Los Angeles Rams
Since they have both been there, Kyle Shanahan’s record over Sean McVay has been remarkable. The 49ers are just so far ahead of the Rams right now, even with a fairly large spread, they should be way too much to handle.
USA USER BETS
- 2 units ($200) 49ers -7.5 @ -105 with BetUS
AUS USER BETS
- 2 unit ($200) 49ers -7.5 @ -1.99 with TopSport
New York Jets @ Dallas Cowboys
I am a big fan of the Cowboys and what they can do. But as we saw in game one, the Jets defence is for real. They will cause any offence problems, and that can be the case here. Even with Zach Wilson at quarterback, the Jets have an incredible amount of talent. I feel like they will be a lot stronger than people think and they can cover this spread.
USA USER BETS
- 2 units ($200) Jets +9 @ -110 with BetUS
AUS USER BETS
- 2 units ($200) Jets +9.5 @ 1.86 with TopSport
Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots
This is a real matchup of strengths. The Dolphins offence vs the Patriots defence. This is the sort of game that Belichick has thrived in over the years and he can do so once again. This is going to be a tight game and I like Patriots as home underdogs.
USA USER BETS
- 1 units ($100) Patriots +2.5 @ Ev with BetUS
AUS USER BETS
- 1 units ($100) Patriots +2.5 @ 1.95 with TopSport
