ST GEORGE-ILLAWARRA DRAGONS VS BRISBANE BRONCOS –Â SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 3, NESTRATA JUBILEE STADIUM, 5:30PM
The Broncos’ finals dreams appear to have gone up in smoke with their big losses to the Storm and Eels, but a win over the Dragons at least keeps them in the frame for another 24 hours.
The Origin-depleted Broncos’ 32-18 win at Suncorp in Round 17 snapped a five-match losing streak against the Dragons, but they have lost all four of the clubs’ encounters at Jubilee.

NORTH QUEENSLAND COWBOYS VS PENRITH PANTHERS –Â SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 3, QUEENSLAND COUNTRY BANK STADIUM, 7:35PM
A win for the Cowboys gives them a shot at a home final in Townsville so there’s plenty at stake for Todd Payten’s men.
Hit by injury, the Cowboys were blanked 22-0 at Penrith in Round 12 – their fourth straight defeat to the heavyweights by a double-digit margin.
NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS VS CRONULLA SHARKS –Â SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 4, MCDONALD JONES STADIUM, 2:00PM
Second place, and with it a home match in the opening week of the finals, is on the line for the Sharks this Sunday, while the Knights will be keen to avoid finishing their season with four-straight defeats.
Cronulla put Newcastle away 18-0 at home in Round 4 to end a four-match losing streak in the rivalry. The Sharks last won in the Hunter in 2018.
