CANBERRA RAIDERS VS SYDNEY ROOSTERS – THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 2, BP PRINT STADIUM, 7:50PM
This is a must is a very important game for both teams. The Raiders will need to win to keep their season alive and then hope the Sharks lose to the Storm.
The Roosters’ 54-12 capitulation against the Rabbitohs means they are a chance of dropping down the ladder and into an elimination final. The Roosters will need to win and hope for other results to fall their way if they’re to snare a double chance.
They will get a boost in confidence with the return of Angus Crichton, Adam Keighran, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and outgoing veteran Josh Morris to their run-on side but have lost Joseph Manu after suffering facial fractures.

- 1 unit under 43.5 total match points @ $1.80 with TopSport
CRONULLA SHARKS VS MELBOURNE STORM – FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 3, CBUS SUPER STADIUM, 6:00PM
The Storm will be looking to bounce back after having their winning streak snapped last week while the Sharks need to win to secure a top 8 spot.
The Sharks can book an unlikely finals spot with a win over the Storm, while a loss would leave them at the mercy of either the Raiders or the Titans.
You would think this game would be Melbourne’s to lose, but Bellamy’s controversial decision to rest most of his stars will give the Sharks a chance to sneak into a finals spot.
- 2 units Sharks +9.5 @ $2 with TopSport
PARRAMATTA EELS VS PENRITH PANTHERS – FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 3, CBUS SUPER STADIUM, 8:05PM
The Eels showed glimpses of their best against the Storm which surprised everyone last week but will have to do it again as they face a full-strength Panthers outfit who are looking to build momentum and confidence running into the finals.
These two sides have played out some nail bitters in recent years, with five of the last six games being decided by no more than eight points.
- 2 units Eels +28.5 @ $2 with TopSport

BRISBANE BRONCOS VS NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS – SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 4, SUNCORP STADIUM, 3:00PM
Newcastle made it five wins in a row last week with a thrilling one-point win over the Titans and will be hoping to keep that streak alive heading into the finals against the Broncos on Saturday.
Brisbane have shown a lot more fight in recent weeks and considering there were only 8 points separating these two sides when they met just four weeks ago it could be a chance for them to end the year with confidence.
- 1 unit Knights 1-12 @ $3.35 with TopSport
- 1 unit Ponga any time try scorer @ $2.08 with TopSport
NORTH QUEENSLAND COWBOYS VS MANLY SEA EAGLES – SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 4, QUEENSLAND COUNTRY BANK STADIUM, 5:30PM
The Cowboys broke an embarrassing losing streak last week against the Dragons while Manly have a real chance of securing 4th spot on the ladder with a win here.
North Queensland has won only one of its last 10 games and with manly walking away 50-18 winners against the Cowboys earlier in the year it is hard to see anything changing here.
- 2 units Sea Eagles -22.5 @ $2 with TopSport
SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS VS ST GEORGE-ILLAWARRA DRAGONS – SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 4, SUNSHINE COAST STADIUM, 7:35PM
The Rabbitohs don’t have anything to lose or gain from this matchup against the St. George Illawarra Dragons so we can expect players to be rested.
The Dragons are suffering from a losing streak that is now stretching to seven matches – a slump they haven’t experienced since 2015.
The Rabbitohs held the ball for nearly ten minutes longer than the Dragons when they met last month on the way to a comfortable 50-14 victory.
- 1 unit Dragons +2.5 @ $2 with TopSport
GOLD COAST TITANS VS NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS – SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 5, CBUS SUPER STADIUM, 2:00PM
The Titans may have a slim mathematical chance of playing finals football but will have to walk away with a win against a motivated Warriors outfit.
If the Titans can somehow overcome the Warriors and also rely on losses from Cronulla and Canberra, there might still be a chance.
The Warriors rattled off three wins in succession not that long ago and also proved themselves a handful against the Titans when they won 19-6 back in March.
- 2 units Warriors +11.5 @ $2 with TopSport

WESTS TIGERS VS CANTERBURY BULLDOGS – SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 5, MORETON DAILY STADIUM, 4:05PM
In terms of finals football, this is the only game of the weekend that doesn’t hold any finals implications but there’s a good chance it might turn out to be the game of the round.
The Dogs have shown positives signs at times during the season but have lacked consistency. A win here could see them head into next season with some confidence that better times ahead.
The Tigers won by eight when these two sides met just three weeks ago, extending their winning streak over the Dogs to three.
- 2 units Tigers -7.5 @ $2 with TopSport
