Max Verstappen has won the Singapore Grand Prix for the first time, leading from lights to flag at Marina Bay, while Oscar Piastri finished fifth for McLaren.
According to the official Formula1.com race report (11 October 2026), Verstappen held the lead throughout the 62-lap race to take victory in 1:42:00.785 on his 250th Grand Prix start. Charles Leclerc finished second for Ferrari, 7.335 seconds back, with championship leader Kimi Antonelli third for Mercedes (+24.573s).
McLaren’s Lando Norris was fourth (+40.506s) and Oscar Piastri fifth (+49.644s), scoring 10 points. Lewis Hamilton finished sixth for Ferrari, ahead of Liam Lawson, Nico Hulkenberg, George Russell and Isack Hadjar in the top 10, Formula1.com’s results table showed.
Piastri fifth after puncture and late pass
McLaren said Piastri started sixth and finished fifth after a slow puncture forced a second pit stop on Lap 41. The Australian later passed Hamilton for fifth on the penultimate lap at Turn 16. Norris started fifth and finished fourth.
Piastri said in McLaren’s report: “P5. That was a hot and tough one. Overall, it felt like a reasonable race. The puncture was a shame, but I think fifth place was the maximum we could have done today.” He added that getting the final position from Hamilton “made it worthwhile”.
