The National Football League is 16 weeks complete. Here are the top five rookies from week 16 on winning teams. This year we are including kickers.
5) Ladd McConkey
The Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver from Chatsworth, Georgia had six catches for 87 receiving yards on Thursday in a 34-27 primetime win over the Denver Broncos. With the win, the Chargers improve to 9-6 and into second place in the AFC West.
4) Jake Bates
The native of Tomball, Texas keeps kicking field goals for the Detroit Lions. On Sunday, the field goals were from 30 and 34 yards in the cold Chicago air. Bates also made four converts as the Lions improved to 13-2 with a 34-17 win over the Bears.
3) Xavier Worthy
At the beginning of the season the Kansas City Chiefs wideout had a significant impact in a Chiefs win over the Baltimore Ravens. Â In fact, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes stated “we’re going to continue to use him more and more.” Well on Saturday, Xavier Worthy, the native of Fresno, California, had seven catches for 65 receiving yards and one touchdown, and three rushes for 10 rushing yards in a 27-19 win over the Houston Texans. With the win, the Chiefs continue to be the best team in football at 14 wins and one loss.
2) Will Reichard
The native of Hoover, Alabama made field goals from 48 and 52 yards, as well as three converts. The Vikings stayed pace with the Detroit Lions at 13-2 in the NFC North with a key 27-24 road win over the Seattle Seahawks.
1) Jayden Daniels
The native of Fontana, California was sensational on Sunday. He completed 24 of 39 passes for 258 passing yards and five touchdowns, along with nine rushes for 81 rushing yards as the Washington Commanders beat the Philadelphia Eagles 36-33. With the win, the Commanders improved to 10-5. Daniels was not just the best rookie of the week, he was the best player of the week.
