Warwick Farm Race 1 – Sneaky Paige
Sneaky Paige earned a spot in my black book after an ultra impressive performance at Randwick trials earlier in the month. She settled just off the speed and blew them away to win by a length eased down. The time was half a second quicker than any trial from the older horses on the morning and over a second quicker than any of the 2yo trials.
Deep Field 2yo’s can sometimes disappoint when going from the trials to the races but she will only need to stretch out an extra 55m over 1100m here.

Warwick Farm Race 7 –Ā Promise of Success
Promise of Success could not have been more impressive winning a maiden on this track a fortnight ago. Hugh Bowman, who weighed in half a kilo over his handicapped weight, settled him at the rear of the field and 4 wide from the outside gate. With a slight squeeze at the 800m she easily circled the field and put them away in impressive fashion to win by 2L.
When Bowman was interviewed after the raced he declared that she was far too good for midweek company yet we see her back today and at backable odds. She comes down to 55kg compared to the 56.5kg she carried last start.
