Rosehill Race 3 – Yao Dash

This Waterhouse and Bott 4yo gelding looks well placed in this BM 100 after finishing half a length behind Eleven Eleven at the Magic Millions.

He comes up against Subedar who I’ve been waiting to back but after being scratched on a soft track last week I am willing to go against the Godolphin grey on a heavy if he is not scratched again.

There appears to be a severe lack of speed on paper, which will suit a Waterhouse and Bott horse deep into a preparation. The 1400m and the fact he has been in work for over 6 months now are both concerns but I’m happy to have him for one last win to round out a great preparation.

Randwick Race 5 – Home Affairs

Home Affairs steps out in the Silver Slipper after a debut that I expect him to improve sharply on. Following a dominant trial win he was sent out favourite in the Canonbury Stakes on this track. After jumping to the lead, the son of I Am Invincible skipped away at the top of the turn and looked home until he knocked up 100m from home and was run down by Zethus, a horse he meets again here.

It’s unusual to see a Waller 2yo debut with only one trial, which may mean they believe in his natural ability but more importantly means that he should strip fitter at his second race start.

Tip: 2 Units Win Home Affairs @$3.6 With TopSport

Randwick Race 8 – Emanate

Emanate was brave 1st up a month ago when she was posted wide from a bad barrier. Rachel King tried to find a spot midfield after jumping clean, then went back before being forced to roll forward and sit on the speed. She would’ve been forgiven for fading late but she stuck to her task to finish 3rd behind The Face and Osmau. She strips fitter here 2nd up and has the benefit of a recent trial.

She drops from 58kg down to 52kg in what doesn’t appear to be a strong BM 94 and looks to be a great bet here.

Tip: 2 Units Win Emanate @$4.6
