Kembla Race 2 – Bullpen

Bullpen is a smart Deep Field 2yo colt that I’ve been watching at the trials over the last month. The Snowden’s clearly have a strong opinion of this fella after they debuted him in the G3 Canobury Stakes at the beginning of the autumn carnival.

Since then he has showed plenty of promise at the trials, defeating Costly by 3L with the 3rd horse another 2L further away in his first trial back from a spell at Randwick. A week later he backed up that win with an equally as impressive 2nd behind a very promising filly Sneaky Paige.

Both those trials were run in extremely quick time and I think the $3.5 on offer for this guy in a provincial maiden is great value.
