England caps once took a decade or more to collect. Whether you follow the Three Lions from the stands or through a sportsbook and casino in one place, the record books have changed quickly. Three cap milestone records have fallen since June 2026, and Harry Kane has drawn level with a fourth. Here is who reached each landmark first, and how they did it.
20 caps: Elliot Anderson
Elliot Anderson made his England debut against Andorra in a World Cup qualifier on 6 September 2025. His 20th cap came in the 7-0 Nations League win over Croatia in Rijeka on 3 October 2026, where he set up one of Kane’s two goals.
That was only 392 days after his debut. According to the FA, no England player has reached 20 caps faster. Anderson broke a record of 453 days that belonged to Chris Waddle.
50 caps: Jude Bellingham
Jude Bellingham was 17 when he made his debut against Ireland at Wembley in November 2020. His 50th cap came in the 0-0 World Cup group draw with Ghana in Boston on 23 June 2026, and FIFA named him player of the match.
He was 22 years and 359 days old, which made him the youngest England men’s player to reach 50 caps. Wayne Rooney had held the record since April 2009, when he got there at 23 years and 159 days.
75 caps: Declan Rice
The Ghana game was a landmark for Declan Rice too. He made his debut against the Czech Republic on 22 March 2019, and his 75th cap in Boston came seven years and 93 days later.
On the cap dates recorded by englandstats.com, no England player has reached 75 caps in less time. Jordan Pickford took seven years and 134 days, while Kane needed seven years and 183 days. Bobby Moore, the quickest of the 1960s generation, took seven years and 281 days.
Michael Owen is still the youngest to 75 caps. He was 25 years and 333 days old when he reached the mark against Argentina in November 2005.
100 caps: Harry Kane
Kane won his 100th cap against Finland at Wembley on 10 September 2024 and scored both goals in a 2-0 Nations League win. It came nine years and 167 days after his debut against Lithuania in March 2015, the fastest any England player has reached a century of caps.
Moore had been the quickest before him. His 100th cap came against Scotland in February 1973, almost 11 years after his debut.
Rooney remains the youngest England centurion. He was 29 years and 22 days old when he won his 100th cap against Slovenia in November 2014.
125 caps: Kane, not Shilton
Only two England players have won 125 caps, and Kane got there far quicker. He drew level with Peter Shilton’s record in a 3-0 Nations League win over the Czech Republic at Wembley on 6 October 2026, scoring twice.
Kane needed 11 years and 193 days to reach 125. Shilton’s 125 caps spanned 19 years and 224 days, from his debut against East Germany in November 1970 to the 1990 World Cup third-place play-off against Italy.
Age tells the same story. Shilton was 40 when he won his final cap. Kane was 33 when he matched him, ending 36 years in which the record belonged to Shilton alone.
