THE EDGE: NSW Provincial & Country Service – Tuesday 7/9

We’ve found a couple of nice bets for Tuesday. We head to Scone for a main country meeting. The track is a little wet, currently a soft 6. The second meeting is at Queanbeyan with the track currently a heavy 10. Scone plays fair whilst Queanbeyan slightly benefits runners that are handy.

Scone Race 1

Decedant Tale

Fourth start here, has placed all 3 prior in similar company. Last start 3rd SP $2.5 behind Bladnoch who placed on Monday with a big effort late. Prior to that 3rd SP $3behind Haven and Geisal, Haven has franked the form placing in the Highway last weekend. Expect a soft lead here with no other speed here. Has recorded big figures in all prior runs.  Christian Reith back in the saddle. Should prove tough to run down.

1.5u Decedant Tale $4

Unzaga

Second start here for the 3yo on the back of a 5th on debut on this company over 1400. Was very slowly away and restrained running 13 slower than benchmark average over the first 600. He finished off nicely running L200 2L quicker. Stepping up the 1600 is logical and should be closer from a soft draw. Should take natural improvement off that first race start. Saver.

0.5u Unzaga $12

Scone Race 4

Endorphins

Stepped up the 2000m+ 2 starts back well into her prep. Last start placed in tougher company over the 2000m at Taree at $4.5. Got home very well after she was caught flat footed at the 600m. 2 back she finished 2nd 0.1L at Taree in this class over 2000m. Finished off strong on the rails to just miss at $3. Stepping up to the 2200m should only benefit her. Maps to get a nice run off the speed on the rail and with Dylan Gibbons in the saddle she looks the one to beat.

1.5u Endorphins $4.8

Scone Race 5

Daralina Belle

Third start here for the undefeated Mare. Won on debut at big odds on a soft 7. She ran her L200 5.5L quicker than benchmark average. She then backed that effort up winning a C1 at Nowra over 1400 again hitting the line very well on the back of a genuine speed. She generally gets back in races but draws well here to be a bit closer. Blake Spriggs retains the ride and no reason she can’t complete the hat-trick. Rates as the one to beat.

2.5u Daralina Belle $3.2

Queanbeyan Race 4

Uno Tops

Second up. Resumed here finishing 4th over 1200 SP $151 into $21. He did his best work late L200 -2.3L after he missed the start 3L. Looks to have come back nicely and handle the wet ground. Comes in under notice and should improve second up.

0.5u Uno Tops $12
