We head to Port Macquarie and Wellington on Monday after both NSW meetings were abandoned on Sunday. The rail is out 5m at Port Macquarie and combined with the track shape may benefit runners on the speed.

Port Macquarie Race 1

Just Ziggy

Going well this prep without a win. Has placed 3/4. Last starr was solid hitting the line well and backing it up with strong figures. Expect to be prominent from the soft draw here and Kirk Matheson retains the ride. Rates on top should be hard to beat.

1.5u Just Ziggy $3.7

Port Macquarie Race 2

Wine Oclock

Won last start when we backed him at $11, Rated well with the distance and gear changes. That effort was backed up by strong figures and was good enough to see him feature again here. Makes his own luck up on the speed. Following up with another small stake on him here.

0.5u Wine Oclock $15

Port Macquarie Race 5

Bladnoch

Last start winner who seemed to appreciated getting off the heavy tracks. Rates better on top of the ground. Maps nicely here expect him to be find a nice spot on the speed. Has been very hit or miss this prep but the drier tracks may be the key to him. Will get every chance here.

1u Bladnoch $5

Staking Plan

R1 1.5u Just Ziggy $3.7
R2 0.5u Wine Oclock $15
R5 1u Bladnoch $5

All bets are Win only – unless specified. Although we rarely bet each-way we don’t object to it, especially for punters who are after short term gains.
