Stefano Mazzoli of Montorfano, Italy has won the 2026 Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic. Mazzoli posted a four-round score of -20 for his first PGA Tour win. He is the first Italian to win on the PGA Tour since Francesco Molinari won the 2019 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Mazzoli had a first round score of five-under-par 67, a second round score of three-under-par 69, a third round score of six-under-par 66, and a fourth round score of six-under-par 66. There were seven more golfers in contention. Gordon Sargent of Birmingham, Alabama, and Todd Clements of Colchester, England were tied for second place at -19. Americans Will Gordon of Davidson, North Carolina and Ben James of Milford, Connecticut were tied for fourth place at -18. Meanwhile, Joe Highsmith of Lakewood, Washington, Marcel Schneider of Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany and Jacob Skov Olesen of Roskilde, Denmark were tied for sixth place at -17.
The Corales Puntacana Championship is an additional event on the PGA Tour. An additional event takes place when there is a more high profile PGA Tour event taking place at the same time. This past weekend, Ryan Fox of Tokora, New Zealand won the British Open. Mazzoli is the fourth golfer to win an additional event in 2026. He followed Ricky Castillo of Yorba Linda, California, who won the 2026 Puerto Rico Open, Brandt Snedeker of Nashville, Tennessee, who won the 2026 Oneflight Myrtle Beach Classic, and Steven Fisk of Atlanta, Georgia, who won the 2026 ISCO Championship in Louisville, Kentucky. This was the last additional event on the PGA Tour in 2026.
