Scottie Scheffler wins 2025 PGA Championship

Scottie Scheffler of Ridgewood, New Jersey is a major champion for a third time. On Sunday, Scheffler won the 2025 PGA Championship from Quail Hollow Golf Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. Scheffler’s previous major titles were the 2022 and 2024 Masters tournaments.
Scheffler posted a four round score of -11. He successfully expanded his round three lead of three strokes to five strokes. Scheffler defeated three American gofers, who were tied for second place at -6. They were two-time major champion Bryson DeChambeau of Modesto, California, Harris English of Valdosta, Georgia and Davis Riley of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. DeChambeau’s prior major championships were the 2020 and 2024 United States Open titles.
On Sunday, Scheffler had a fourth round score of even par. He had four birdies and four bogeys. Scheffler birdied the second, 10th, 14th, and 15th holes, and bogeyed the first, sixth, ninth, and 18th holes.
Scheffler began the tournament a little slowly. He had a Thursday score of two-under-par 69. Scheffler had one eagle, four birdies, two bogeys and one double bogey. Scheffler eagled the 15th hole, birdied the second, seventh, ninth and 12th holes, bogeyed the third and 11th holes, and double bogeyed the 16th hole (the first of three holes on the tricky Green Mile). In round two on Friday, Scheffler had a score of three-under-par 68. He had four birdies and one bogey. Scheffler birdied the third, eighth, 14th and 15th holes, and bogeyed the 13th hole. In round three on Saturday, Scheffler had a score of six-under-par 65. He had seven birdies, one eagle, and three bogeys. Scheffler eagled the 14th hole (a par four), birdied the fourth, fifth, seventh, 12th, 15th, 17th, and 18th holes, and bogeyed the first, 11th and 13th holes.
