Sandown Lakeside Tip Sheet & Staking Plan: Wednesday 21st July
July 21, 2021
We are coming off some big days last week and I’m looking to continue the momentum we’ve been building at Sandown today. The theme of the day is big, deep fields so finding a winner will present some problems however, there’ll be good value if we can!
The track is currently rated a Heavy 9. Victorians are set to expect a cool day with a top of 12 degrees! The damage has already been done with this track receiving heavy, consistent down pours over the past 48 hours.
The rail is out 7m for this meeting. After watching some replays of the rail in similar positions and similar rain effected tracks it is evident that you want to be within striking distance of the leaders on the turn. Extremely hard to make long, sustained runs looping big fields like we have today in these conditions.
