Randwick Best Selection & Value Play 5/10

A huge day of racing at Randwick for the G1 Epsom and Metrop Handicaps. We’ve selected a star sprinter that recorded some outstanding 1st up sectionals and a Godolphin runner coming off an outstanding trial as the value play.

Best Selection: R7- Bella Nipotina

Bella’s has proven to be a top class sprinter the last 12 months. Her versatility gives her a slight edge over some of her rivals here. She can race behind the speed and accelerate up the rise, without a heap of speed in the race this gives her a big advantage.

She was sensational running on for 0.2L 2^nd behind I Am Me in the G3 Concorde 1^st up recoding a 31.81 final 600m. She looks suited to stepping up to 1200m. She has been consistently racing at her best in 2023 whilst there are some question marks over Giga Kick and Think About It reaching their best, no doubt they will be competitive if they do.

Value Selection: R10- Corniche

Corniche’s return trial since being gelded was a real eye-catcher overrunning Think About It. He was 1.5L 4^th to Joliestar in the G2 Arrowfield Sprint and a Gold Coast Guineas winner last prep. The apprentices claim gets him down to a manageable 58kg.
