Midweek Sydney racing returns to Canterbury on Wednesday. Our analyst likes a Waterhouse/Boy 3yo returning on the back of a couple of sharp trial wins and a lightly raced Smith 6yo as the value play.Â

Best Selection: R8- Super Massive
Supermassive looks ready to fire 1st up after a pair of sharp trial wins at Randwick and Canterbury. He was an impressive maiden winner at Canterbury last prep defeating subsequent 3x black type place getter Sylph by 1.9L before showing signs his prep had come to an end in Saturday company at Rosehill. He looks well suited resuming over 1250m at a track he has performed well at in the past compared to race favourite Blitzgal dropping back from 1400m.

Value Selection: R6 – Winston Hills
The Matthew Smith 6yo has built a solid 15: 3-5-2 career record to date and looks ready to go 1st up after hitting the line strongly in his latest Canterbury trial. His stats all read well. He is 4: 2-1-0 1st up and 2: 1-1-0 over the Canterbury 1250m. He was a solid 1.9L 4th to Kergeulen in much tougher company and on an unsuitable Heavy track when 1st up last prep and an impressive 2.2L winner over this track/distance 1st up the prior prep.Â
