RACING TIPS: Canterbury Best Selection & Value Play 17/9

Midweek Sydney racing takes place at Canterbury for the 2nd consecutive week. There are some really nice emerging horses that will compete across the card. Our analyst likes a Freedman filly that stuck on well on a strong tempo last start and a Snowden filly that caught the eye at the trials as the value play.

Our tips are completely free, but make sure you enter your email below to unlock our tips, as we can email you when new tips are available.

Best Selection: R3- Just a Journey

I’m keen to be with Just a Journey here. She was 0.7L 2nd to the classy Tuileries at Warwick Farm last start. She sat on top of a solid tempo and wouldn’t of appreciated being eye-balled by the well fancied Hurry Miss but still managed to give a great kick at the top of the straight whilst that mare faded to finish 2.9L 5th. She was run down to finish 0.7L 2nd with big margins back through the field.

She gets the perfect run from Gate 1 either fence in run behind the leader or holding the lead herself.

Value Selection: R6 – Miss Freelove

Miss Freelove looks to have returned in fantastic order after settling behind a fast leader and closing with some strong sectionals in a 1050m Randwick trial. She put a big gap on the 3rd horse and chewed into the big lead of Champagne Hero to finish 2.5L 2nd. She was a 2.3L winner over this track/distance on a Heavy before 2L 4th in the Listed Woodland Stakes at Scone in her last prep.
