RACING TIPS: Canterbury 28/11 Best Selection & Value Play

Canterbury’s summer night series continues on Friday night. Our analyst likes a Pride/Godolphin runner aiming for 3 consecutive wins for the prep and a Payne runner in the opener as the value play.

Best Selection: R4- Casserouse

Casserousse looks to have found a nice race shooting for 3 straight this prep. She led all the way for a 1.1L maiden win at Hawkesbury 1st up before a 0.8L win over 1200m at Rosehill last start. She does drop back to 1100m here but gets on-speed favours from the inside draw and looks to have a class advantage.

Value Selection: R1 – Hereward

Hereward looks well suited to stepping up to the Canterbury 1550m 2nd up after a 1.7L 4th over an unsuitable 1200m at Gosford last start. He was black booked after leading and fighting on well to finish 0.7L 2nd to the talented Aerodrome on debut before a 1L 2nd at Kensington. His best 2 runs have come on Heavy tracks but has previously performed well on Good tracks at the trials.
