Best Selection: R3 Sir Les
Sir Les puts his undefeated 2 start record on the line stepping up from Provincial company into a Midway. His Randwick trial returning from a 1 month lay off was outstanding. He settled 1/2L off Overpass over 1045m and matched the G1 winner all the way up the straight finishing 0.2L 2nd with Wodeton a further 0.2L 3rd with a big gap back to the rest of the field. He looks to be above Midway grade.
Value Selection: R10 – Stardeel
Stardeel looks a great each way play at $20/$5 in the closer. He was an ultra impressive 3L winner over this track/distance on a Heavy 10 three starts back defeating Grand Prairie. He gets very similar conditions returning on the back of 2 solid trials. I expect Gate 15 to be a positive for him getting to the preferred outside lanes later in the day.
