Thebudgiesmugler is sure to be peaking 3rd up over 2400m bringing a 2/2 record at the trip. He finds a very winnable post carnival BM78 and has 3 wins from 5 starts on wet tracks.

Value Selection: R7- Rotagilla

Rotagilla was excellent closing off strongly after being held up at the top of the straight when 1.6L 4th in The Coast at Gosford a fortnight ago. That form should hold up dropping back to BM88 company but he does carry an extra 6.5kg. The race favourite comes off a 3rd in BM78 company at the same meeting. The big tick for me is stepping up to 2000m and has 4 wins from 7 starts on wet tracks. Waller has previously been quoted saying he thinks he will win a Listed race over this trip.
