Best Selection: R3- Ernaux

The Waller filly looks ready to break through bringing a pair of narrow midweek 2nds from 3 starts this prep. She was forced to go back from the wide gate but still found herself working 3-wide no cover towards the rear. She was entitled to be weak late 1st up with that run but battled right to the line to finish 0.1L 2nd. Gate 4 with J Mac on replacing the apprentice looks a big plus where she should land forward on midfield with a +5m Rail.

Value Selection: R8- Emirate

Emirate looks like a nice each way play to end the card $14/$4. He was 1L 2nd over this trip at Warwick Farm last start before being 2.4L off when dropping back to 1200m at Randwick last start. The step back up to 1400m has to be a positive.
