I’m willing to be forgiving of Crossways debut run at Warwick Farm where he did plenty of early work from the wide gate to sit outside lead before fading the final 200m to finish 3.5L 6th. Prior to that he had won 3 consecutive Sydney trials, including a 7L win at Rosehill in his latest. He benefits from jumping out of Gate 1 where he is a great chance to jump, lead, win with a +6m Rail.
Value Play: R5 Lipstick-
Lipstick sets up well dropping back from Saturday grade where she settled behind the speed and fought on to finish 0.3L 2nd with a 1.4L gap back to 3rd. She was terrific hitting the line strongly from the rear to finish 2nd over this track/distance 2 starts back when she was a month between runs.
