Best Selection: Race 7: Eton
The Waterhouse/Bott 4yo looks an exciting type returning from a 6 week freshen up after a dominant 3.75L maiden win a Wagga on debut. This is a step up in class but you have to respect how patient the stable has been with him. He had a quiet return trial at Warwick Farm where he did enough. Value Selection: Race 6: Eton

The Joe Pride grey has been frustrating for followers with only 2 wins from 20 starts with many eye-catchers amongst them but his 0.7L 2nd to Hovland over a mile at Warwick Farm 2nd up is the best we’ve seen from him this early in his prep. He settled midfield and worked into it nicely at the top of the straight before Hovland showed more zip putting a quick length on him. I like the way he worked right to the line. The step up to 1900m suits perfectly where he has also been able to settle in a more positive position in the past.
