Jazz vs Pelicans – 8:30am AEST

I am not high on this Jazz team as Bojan was such a big piece for them – 2^nd in on/off differential & 2^nd in usage – however, it has opened up an opportunity for Conley. He hasn’t looked great all season but the Jazz really needs to get him going if they want to make any noise in the playoffs. He had a team high 28.1% usage in the 3 scrimmages and gets a great matchup here against the Pels who have ranked 27^th in defensive efficiency against PGs this season.

Jazz vs Pelicans –8:30am AEST

As mentioned above, Jazz will be without Bojan and his 25.2% usage for the restart. With Bojan out, Ingles will move into the starting line-up leaving Clarkson to have full control of a second unit devoid of scoring. We’ll see some high usage minutes from him here. Donovan is expected to distribute more throughout the restart, in which case they’ll need Clarkson’s shooting around him so I can definitely see a path for him playing 30+ minutes. He looked comfortable in his warm up games with a per 36 line of 23.1/7.5/1.1.

Clippers vs Lakers – 11:00am AEST

Lou Williams & Montrezl Harrell are out for this one setting up PG to have a monster game. He is now fully healthy and had an elite 63.0 eFG% on 27 jump shots in the pre-season. With no Lou, Doc Rivers will likely stagger PG & Kawhi as much as he can. He has a ridiculous per 36 line of 38.3 pts, 7.7 rbd, 6.6 ast with a whopping 40.6% usage without Kawhi & Lou on the court. The only thing I am concerned about is Doc easing the guys into things but allowing Kawhi to play 30 and PG 28 in a scrimmage game lessens those concerns.

Jazz vs Pelicans – 8:30am AEST

A perfect match-up to kick things off. As mentioned, Jazz are without Bojan who had the Jazz 2^nd best on/off differential for them at +7.3. His absence creates a whole host of issues for the Jazz and I think they’ll end up being the worst team in the West playoffs. On the flip side, Pels are fighting for that 8 seed and will see every game as a must win from here. They looked great in all 3 scrimmages and now get the huge inclusion of Zion. He may be limited but he’s proven he can be extremely impactful in short spurts.
