Max Homa (YouTube)
The California swing on the PGA Tour continues this week. Beware that the Farmers Insurance Open takes place Wednesday through Saturday as the PGA Tour does not want to go head-to-head with the National Football League on Conference Championship Sunday. Here are the three golfers we like in San Diego.
Max Homa
The 33-year-old from Burbank, California has won six PGA tournaments in his career. His last win came a year ago as he was victorious at the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open. We like Homa here for one reason. He has great success in golf tournaments where he has had initial success. Homa has won the Wells Fargo Championship and Fortinet Championship twice.

Xander Schauffele
The Farmers Insurance Open has significant meaning to Schauffele because it takes place in his hometown of San Diego. The 30-year-old has had great success at the Farmers Insurance Open in the past. Three years ago Schauffele posted a score of -9, and finished in second place, only behind Patrick Reed. Schauffele also finished in third place a week ago at the American Express.

Luke List
The darkhorse we like this week is the 2022 Farmers Insurance champion Luke List of Seattle, Washington. Two years ago, List beat Will Zalatoris in a playoff. It should be noted that List has had recent success too. In the fall, he won the Sanderson Farms Championship in a playoff by posting an impressive score of -18.
