The Gloaming runner up looks to have returned in great order after settling last over an unsuitable 1400m and storming down the outside to claim 0.9L 2nd behind Broadsiding. The run stacked up well against the pattern of the day where nothing won settling as backmarker and it being hard to make ground down the extreme outside. He likely goes to the Randwick Guineas next but it will be over 2000m where he looks a bet.
