The official team lists are in for Bulldogs vs Tigers, with several key changes creating new betting opportunities ahead of kick-off. We’ve analysed the biggest winners, losers and matchups for punters following Team List Tuesday.
Biggest Winners – Bulldogs
Viliame Kikau
Kikau returns from a pectoral injury to strengthen Canterbury’s left edge after missing several weeks. His powerful running and ability to attract multiple defenders should immediately improve the Bulldogs’ attacking shape.
Betting impact: Kikau’s return boosts Canterbury’s left-edge attack, making anytime try scorer markets for both himself and his outside men more appealing.
Matt Burton
Burton benefits enormously from Kikau’s return, with the pair forming one of the NRL’s most dangerous edge combinations. Expect Burton to play flatter at the line and create more space for his outside backs.
Betting impact: Burton’s try assist and line break assist markets receive a significant lift, while Canterbury’s attacking ceiling improves.
Connor Tracey
With Kikau back attracting defensive attention, Tracey should find more opportunities sweeping around the middle and linking with the outside backs.
Betting impact: Tracey becomes an interesting value play in player performance and anytime try scorer markets.
Biggest Losers – Bulldogs
Stephen Crichton
Canterbury’s captain has been ruled out after suffering a neck-related nerve injury last week, leaving a huge hole in both attack and defence.
Bulldogs right-edge defence
Without Crichton’s leadership, Canterbury loses one of the competition’s best defensive centres against a Tigers side capable of attacking both edges.
Bulldogs outside backs
The reshuffled backline may take time to adjust without their captain organising the defensive line.

Biggest Winners – Tigers
Api Koroisau
Koroisau is pushing for an early return from a pectoral injury after being named in the extended squad and completing light training this week. If he plays, it would provide a massive boost to the Tigers’ attack.
Betting impact: His inclusion would significantly improve the Tigers’ attacking upside and increase confidence in their spine player markets.
Jarome Luai
With speculation around his future now behind him, Luai remains the Tigers’ primary playmaker and will be heavily relied upon against one of the NRL’s best defensive teams.
Betting impact: Luai’s running game and kicking responsibilities keep him firmly in play for try assists and player performance markets.
Jahream Bula
Bula’s speed around broken play always gives the Tigers a genuine attacking threat, particularly if Canterbury’s reshuffled backline leaves space out wide.
Betting impact: Bula shapes as one of the Tigers’ better anytime try scorer options.
Biggest Losers – Tigers
Tigers middle forwards
Containing Max King, Josh Curran, Jacob Preston and the returning Viliame Kikau presents a huge challenge through the middle and could make field position difficult to win.
Tigers edge defence
The return of Kikau immediately puts more pressure on the Tigers’ right-edge defenders, who will need to contain one of the Bulldogs’ favourite attacking corridors.
Tigers bench
Interchange minutes remain difficult to predict, reducing confidence around several forward player prop markets.
Early Betting Verdict
The biggest selection news is Viliame Kikau’s return for Canterbury, while the Bulldogs will need to cover the loss of captain Stephen Crichton. If Api Koroisau is cleared to return for the Tigers, it gives their attack a significant boost, but Canterbury still appears to have received the biggest lift from this week’s team lists. From a betting perspective, Bulldogs head-to-head, Matt Burton player markets and Canterbury’s left-edge attack stand out as the strongest betting angles.
