On the same evening of the 2022 NFL Draft where the Jacksonville Jaguars selected defensive end Travon Walker of the University of Georgia first overall, there was a blockbuster deal between the Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans.  The Eagles acquired wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Titans for a first round pick and a third round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

With the first round pick on Thursday, the Titans selected Treylon Burks from the University of Arkansas. Burks was the sixth wide receiver selected in the 2022 NFL Draft following Drake London of the Atlanta Falcons (eighth overall), Garrett Wilson of the New York Jets (10th overall), Chris Olave of the New Orleans Saints (11th overall), Jameson Williams of the Detroit Lions (12th overall), and Jahan Dotson of the Washington Commanders (16th overall).

After signing Brown, the Eagles signed him to a four-year deal worth $100 million, of which $57 million is guaranteed. Last year with the Titans, Brown had 63 catches for 869 yards and five touchdowns. In his three NFL seasons, Brown has 185 catches for 2995 yards and 24 touchdowns.

A.J. Brown, a native of Starkville, Mississippi, was one of two wide receivers to be named Brown that were traded on Thursday. The other was Marquise Brown of Hollywood, Florida, who was traded from the Baltimore Ravens to the Arizona Cardinals with a third round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft for a first round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

This past season for Baltimore, Marquise Brown has 91 catches for 1008 yards and six touchdowns. In three seasons, he has 195 catches for 2361 yards and 21 touchdowns.
