According to Brooke Pryor of ESPN on Friday, National Football League twin brothers Maurkice and Mike Pouncey of Ardmore, Oklahoma have each retired at the age of 31. The Pro Bowl centers had been among the best players at their position over the last decade.

Maurkice Pouncey played his entire NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers since 2010, while Mike Pouncey played seven seasons with the Miami Dolphins (2011-2017) and the last three seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers (2018-2020). Maurkice Pouncey was selected to nine Pro Bowls in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, and was a first-team All-Pro in 2011, 2012, and 2014. A member of the Pro Football Writers Association All-Rookie Team in 2010, Maurkice Pouncey was also named to the NFL All-Decade team for the 2010s in 2020.
