Moonee Valley Rapidfire Preview & Selctions

With Rapidfire being a popular form of punting, we thought we’d have our form analysts assess the form and give you their selections for tonight’s Moonee Valley meeting.

The process is simple where horses are placed head to head and if you select 3 horses correctly you will win 1.8x your bet but if you choose to select 5 horses and are correct you win 20x your bet!

Here’s a look at our analyst’s selections.

High Hopes Vs Tinszel – Race 1

High Hopes:
  • Jockey: J Maskiell
  • Trainer: R Cunningham
  • Barrier: 1
Tinszel:
  • Jockey: B Allen
  • Trainer: H Dwyer
  • Barrier: 3

Have gone with High Hopes who looks to peak here off two improving runs, 1600m suits and is drawn to get a nice run behind the speed while Tinszel will settle back in the field and comes off a failure last start.

Selection: High Hopes

Infernal Vs Once Upon A Dream – Race 2

Infernal:
  • Jockey: M Poy (a2)
  • Trainer: M Sues
  • Barrier: 8
Once Upon A Dream:
  • Jockey: D Holland
  • Trainer: M Cumani
  • Barrier: 3

Very confident here on Infernal in this matchup, comes off a dominant win at 1000m at Pakenham where we sat right up on the pace and kicked clear, will have the speed to cross and lead or sit outside the pace which is a big advantage over the 1000m at Moonee Valley.

Selection: Infernal

Tata Da Goose Vs Miss Entice – Race 3

Tata Da Goose:
  • Jockey: T Stockdale (a3)
  • Trainer: J Warren
  • Barrier: 7
Miss Entice:
  • Jockey: D Dunn
  • Trainer: D & C Feek
  • Barrier: 3

Tough to split the two in this match, against Miss Entice off the last start failure where she led and gave nothing over the final 600m, has drawn to be stuck on the rail while Tata Da Goose will get back but with the predicted fast early pace it will give the mare every chance to finish over the top of her opponent.

Selection: Tata Da Goose

Frankly Harvey Vs Nicajon – Race 4

Frankly Harvey:
  • Jockey: Z Spain
  • Trainer: R Hickmott
  • Barrier: 3
Nicajon:
  • Jockey: J Childs
  • Trainer: Q Scott
  • Barrier: 7

Very confident that Frankly Harvey will finish well in front of his opponent Nicajon, the Robert Hickmott trained gelding will take a heap of improvement from the first-up run over 1400m at Cranbourne where he led and was only run down late, will find the front here from barrier 3 and make it very tough for Nicajon to make up the required ground.

Selection: Frankly Harvey

Bold Star Vs Written Choice – Race: 5

Bold Star:
  • Jockey: C Williams
  • Trainer: G Richards
  • Barrier: 3
Written Choice:
  • Jockey: N Rawiller
  • Trainer: L McGill
  • Barrier: 7

Logan McGill trained Written Choice resumes here off a 181-day spell and has shown above-average ability over his career, has great gate speed and will be very handy to the pace over the 955m sprint while Bold Star looks to get back in the run.

Selection: Written Choice
