The Buffalo Bills have a record of two wins and zero losses. A major reason for the Bills success has been the terrific quarterbacking by former NFL MVP Josh Allen of Firebaugh, California.
In two games this season, Allen has completed 40 of 60 passes for 582 passing yards, five touchdown passes and zero interceptions. He also has been spectacular on the ground. Allen has 20 rushes for 92 rushing yards and four more major scores.
Om Thursday night in prime time, we just saw a fantastic single game performance. Allen had 248 passing yards, three touchdown passes, and 69 rushing yards along with two rushing touchdowns in a 41-31 Bills win over the Detroit Lions.
Allen’s most notable touchdown pass went 43 yards to Canadian Josh Palmer of Toronto, Ontario with three minutes and 42 seconds left in the first quarter to put the Bills up 14-0. Allen also threw touchdown passes to two Bills tight ends–Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox.
We are also seeing great chemistry between Allen and the new Bills head coach Joe Brady. It should be noted that Brady is the youngest coach in the NFL at age 36. Allen is 30 years old. So far, Brady and Allen have definitely been on the same page, and it is led to a 2-0 Buffalo record.
Now things in western New York get interesting for the Bills. They will face a Chargers team next week who looked awful in week one against the Arizona Cardinals. The Bills will then face their division rival and Super Bowl finalist New England Patriots in week four, and then another Los Angeles team in week five that looked horrendously awful in week one in Australia–the Rams.
