CODE Sports has reported that Manly have sounded out the Wests Tigers about taking Jamal Fogarty, with the halfback only 12 months into a three-year Sea Eagles deal.
According to Zero Tackle’s Leo Twemlow, citing CODE Sports, the Sea Eagles have enquired whether the Tigers would take Fogarty as coach Kieran Foran continues a roster reshape. The Daily Telegraph also reported Manly are shopping a starting spine star to the Tigers in a broader fire-sale push.
Fogarty joined Manly on a three-year contract and is understood to still have two seasons remaining. Zero Tackle said salary-cap pressure is front of mind, with earlier reports that Manly are also looking to move on five-eighth Luke Brooks and forward Ethan Bullemor.

Tigers cool on a deal without help
Zero Tackle reported the Tigers have already put a red line through Fogarty as they look to give Latu Fainu a long-awaited starting halves shot. The club is understood to only be interested if Manly pays a hefty chunk of Fogarty’s remaining deal to facilitate a switch to Concord.
Manly are stacked in the halves with rising star Joey Walsh (nine NRL games in 2026), Onitoni Large, utility Clayton Faulalo and Brandon Wakeham also in the mix, Zero Tackle noted — leaving Fogarty’s long-term place less certain even after a strong stretch of the season alongside Brooks.

Marquee hunt still on
Zero Tackle said Manly are keen to create room for a marquee signing after years tied to big contracts for Jake and Tom Trbojevic and Daly Cherry-Evans. Earlier reports have linked the Sea Eagles with a play for Melbourne Storm hooker Harry Grant for 2028, while Sam Walker’s NRL future remains open after the Roosters withdrew their offer.
Neither Manly, the Wests Tigers nor Fogarty had issued a public statement on the reported enquiry at the time of writing.
