Horses You Must Follow From: Flemington 8th August
August 10, 2020
Our Professional Victorian Form Analyst has looked over all the replays and sectionals to come up with horses you must follow out of Saturday’s Flemington meeting.
Tavidance
- Race: 4
- Distance: 1720m
- Class:Â BM84 Handicap
This classy son of Tavistock bounced back into the winners circle with an arrogant display at Headquarters on Saturday. Jamie Kah can take a bow as she rode this guy an absolute treat from Barrier 1 parking behind the hot speed put on by Reserve Street and He Ekscels. He stylishly moved into the race and never looked like getting beat from the 400m as he bolted away to put 6 lengths on them to win softly. Relished rain effected going and could win a nice middle distance race this Spring.
When To Bet:
Can build the picket fence if placed right over 1800-2000m.
Rock Prophet
- Race: 8
- Distance: 1000m
- Class: BM90 Handicap
The easy move for this race would have been to have taken Octane out of it however, he’s going to be well found in the market wherever Phil Stokes decides to send him! With this in mind, I’ve gone searching for another runner in this race and Rock Prophet has to be the one! He dropped back to the 1000m for this run and just found Octane too nippy. However, he was still able to match Octane’s L400, 200m sectionals (22.00 & 11.32) which were equal meeting fastest. His rating will now be around the 70 range so he’s even eligible to go back to Midweek class with soon to be genuine stakes form finishing in-front of him (Octane).
When to bet:
Over 1100-1200m preferably dropping back in grade.
