This week we will bounce between Rosehill and Gold Coast’s Magic Million’s meeting where I’ve had a double dip at two runners at good odds in the Magic Millions Cup and an underrated middle distance horse from the Ryan and Alexiou yard that looks ready to win.

Rosehill Race 5 – Amica
Amica is a mare from the Ryan & Alexiou yard that has been racing consistently for minor placings and crying out for 2000m which she gets here. She drops back in grade after closing off strongly for 3rd behind quality mares Expat and Brookspire in the G3 Gosford Belle of the Turf over 1600m. This will be easier and I see her closing off very strongly.

Gold Coast Race 6 – Eleven Eleven & Holyfield
Happy to double dip on two quality Sydney runners here in Eleven Eleven and Holyfield. Followers of Eleven Eleven know that the Hickman gelding wins regularly at decent odds and also that he loves the Magic Millions carnival, winning races the last two years and this particular race last year. He comes down half a kilo on that win and should be tough to beat again.
Holyfield is one at odds I want to take a punt each way on. He always showed promise as a 3yo but never delivered against the countries top colts. He took a couple of runs to get going this prep but loved the way he powered through the line in his last start win at Randwick suggesting he is ready to deliver. He maps to get a dream run behind the scene and the Neasham yard is flying!
