Resumed nicely from a short break with the blinkers off, finishing 2nd 1.8L in this company at $4.2, when held up. Went close over the 1000m last start but steps up to his best trip here. Maps well here with good gate speed. Jockey in good form

Happy Valley R5 5. Winning Icey
Placed on debut running solid time over the 1000m. He came widest on the turn but hit the line very well. He’ll take benefit from that debut effort and is better suited out to the 1200m.

Happy Valley R6 8. Hercules – 10. Above All
Backing two horses here. Like the set-up of Hercules here, he has been very strong through the line after getting back from wide gates. He draws well here and should be able to settle closer and benefit from the hot speed. Above All has been racing well of recent recording a career best last start rating over the 1000m winning at $3. He should enjoy the 1200m here and draws well.

Happy Valley R9 8. Stoltz
Very fast and his Happy Valley form is superior to his Sha Tin form. Recorded two exceptional ratings around the valley since the sheepskin pieces came on. He went to Sha Tin over 1200m and was disappointing however bounced back over the 1000m last start beaten 0.3L Nervous Witness. He comes to his preferred track, around the bend and is 2kg better at the weights.
