The New York Giants have traded guard Joshua Ezeudu of Lawrenceville, Georgia to the Kansas City Chiefs according to Matt McMullen of the Big News Network on Thursday. In return, the Giants will receive the seventh round pick in the 2028 NFL Draft.

Ezeudu is joining his second National Football League team. He played 33 games over three seasons with the Giants organization from 2022 to 2024. Ezeudu did not play the 2025 National Football League season because of a calf injury suffered in training camp.

In Eezudu’s NFL career, he has two fumble recoveries. The first came on October 2 , 2023 in a 24-3 Giants loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and the second came on October 8, 2023 in a 31-16 Giants loss to the Miami Dolphins. Ezeudu’s 2023 NFL season was cut short as he injured his toe in a 14-9 Giants loss to the Buffalo Bills. As a result, he missed the last 11 games of the Giants season three years ago.

Ezeudu is 6’4″, 310 pounds. He played his college football for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. a program known more for their basketball than football. Ezeudu was the Giants’s third round pick, 67th overall, in the 2022 NFL Draft. He was the fourth Giants pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and was selected behind defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux of Los Angeles, California out of the University of Oregon (selected in the first round, fifth overall), offensive tackle Evan Neal of Okeechobee, Florida out of the University of Alabama (selected in the first round, seventh overall), and wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson out of the University of Kentucky (selected in the second round, 43rd overall).
